Bristol Visitor Information

With its disturbing seafaring roots in the Slave Trade, Bristol has become an exciting destination for the twenty first century traveller. Surrounded by immaculate Georgian architecture, Bristol offers the best of the old as well as the new. The best places to visit are that of the 12th Century Bristol Cathedral in the heart of the town's trendy skateboarding district. Here you are within a stone's throw of a variety of galleries and cafes and with its lively student atmosphere is a great place to head for.

The Harbour has its own attractions of galleries and restaurants and provides a peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle of the town.

While in Bristol, some very rewarding trips out of town would include a visit to see the Clifton Suspension Bridge and the Cheddar Gorge.
